Mt. Pilatus, Lake Lucerne
We’ve “climbed” the Mt. Pilatus today. Peak at 2’100 meters/7’000 feet. To reach the top you can take the worlds steepest cogwheel train: the Pilatus Bahn. It’s as steep as 48%! On the top you can go for a 1h high mountain trail…
Stein am Rhein – Fondue
I just had a majestic cheese fondue in Stein am Rhein. We’ve been enjoying it with a nice Pinot Noir from the Schaffhausen area. Yes, nowadays you can take your cheese fondue with red wine – it’s no longer a “faux pas”.
By the way, it was in Switzerlands oldest wine bar, called “Rother Ochse”, in Stein am Rhein.

Zurich Zoo
Today we’ve spent some zoo-time…
Next stop: Zurich
And now we’ve just arrived at Zurich. Tomorrow it’s zoo-time! 
Museum of transport Lucerne
Today we’ve visited the Museum of Transport in Lucerne. Anything that might bring you from A to B is exhibited here… trains, planes, cars, ships and so on. Very nice place to visit!
Luzern
Now we have arrived in Luzern. Today we had just time for a drink and dinner. Visit starts tomorrow…
Ballenberg
We have strted our Switzerland round trip today. First stop was the open air museum Ballenberg. This park exhibits traditional villages and houses from all regions of Switzerland. Absolutely worthy to visit!
Leaving for Switzerland round-trip tomorrow
1st time ever I will go for a 4 day trip in Switzerland. Finally I’ll see all the nice places so close to my home.
